The least explored tourist destination just 5kms before Mahabalipuram is the Tiger Caves. The place derives its name from the appearance that the entrance of the structure resembles the face of a tiger. The structure has been existing from 7th century built by the Kings of Pallava Dynasty. It is recognized as a monument maintained by the Archelogical Society of India. A lush green lawn is maintained to enable the visitors spend their time joyously.
