Valluvar Kottam

Valluvar Kottam is a famous monument in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is dedicated to the famous Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar, famous for his work "Thirukkural". This monument commemorates his contribution to Tamil literature and philosophy. The monument is built in the form of a chariot temple. The main attraction of Valluvar Kottam is the huge auditorium that can accommodate thousands of people. This monument houses a Thiruvalluvar statue that is 39 feet tall that represents each part of Thirukural, which consists of 1330 couples divided into 133 parts. Visitors enter the courtyard through the beautifully carved entrance depicting scenes from Thirukural. In addition to the main courtyard, there is a beautiful park around the Valluvar Kottam monument. The park provides a peaceful place for visitors to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
