Namakkal is hailed as the hub of everything. It is one of the finest industrial and educational centres in Tamilnadu.
Namakkal is a developing city in Tamilnadu that share its boarders with Salem district in the north and Karur district in the south. In the east it is bounded by Attur taluk of Salem district and from the west by Erode district. This district is parted into four sub-divisions, namely Tiruchengode, Namakkal, Rasipuram and Velur.
Apart from agriculture, Namakkal is famous for the mass poultry production. Namakkal was formerly a part of Salem district, and later in the year 1997 Namakkal was officially declared as a separate city.
