Chariot festival:

The annual Chariot festival of the Thyagaraja Swamy temple is one of the grand festivals of Tamilnadu. People from every part of Tamilnadu throng at Thyagaraja Swamy temple to witness the Chariot adorned with flowers and garland and carrying the effigies of Sundareswarar. This festival falls during April and May. This chariot is the largest of its kind and carved out impeccably. The minute carvings of this chariot are remarkable. The Theppam float festival takes place after this celebration.

Thaipoosam:

Thaipoosam is an auspicious festival celebrated in Murugan temples. The Thai poosam at Enkan Murugan temple is a noteworthy one at Thiruvarur. This festival falls in January.

Pettai Maha Mariyamman temple festival

This temple festival is commemorated grandly at Tiruvarur. Devotes from many parts of the city participate in this temple festival and seek the blessings of Goddess Mari Amman, and it's celebrated in September.
