Itinerary details
Day 01 : Arrival at Tiruchirapalli - Tiruvannamalai
On your arrival at Tiruchirapalli Airport our representatives with receive you at the airport and escort you to your pre booked hotel. Take some rest and then we will do a little sightseeing visit to Sri Rangam temple. After a quick visit to the most sought after tourist destinations in Trichy we will head towards Tiruvannamalai, which is about 220 km from Tiruchirapalli and by road it takes around 5 hours to reach there. At Tiruvannamalai we will visit the great Shiva Temple of Tamil Nadu, Arunachaleshwarar temple which is located on the foot hills of Annamalai. Dinner and overnight stay will be at hotel in Tiruvannamalai.
Day 02 : Tiruvannamalai - Tirupati
Tirupati will be the second destination in our Pilgrimage Tour. After our early breakfast we will start for Tirupati which is around 230 km from Tiruvannamalai and by road it will take less than six hours to reach there. Tirupati is one of the most sacred cities of India and is known for the Venkateswara Swamy temple which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. When you are in Tirupati do not forget to buy red wooden toys or copper and brass idols. Your dinner and stay will be at hotel in Tirupati.
Day 03 : Tirupati - Chennai
Chennai is a city rich in culture and art. The third day of our Pilgrimage tour will be dedicated to Chennai. We will start early for Chennai from Tirupati and will reach there in 04 hours. The distance between these two cities is about 180 Km. In Chennai we will visit some of the most popular temples like Kapaleeshwara temple, Astalakshmi temple, Vadapalani Murugan temple and others. Enjoy the serene sunset at Marina beach. Dinner and overnight stay will be at hotels in Chennai.
Day 04 : Chennai - Chidambaram
On the fourth day of our Tamilnadu Pilgrimage Tour, we will start for Chidambaram. This city is at a distance of 250 Km from Chennai. Most of the temples in Chidambaram are dedicated to Lord Shiva and few are also dedicated to Lord Vishnu. We will visit Nataraja Temple, Vaithiswaran Koil, Pichawaram, Keezhaperumpallam Kedhu temple, Thiruvenkadu Budhan temple and Poombuhar. Dinner and overnight stay will be at hotel in Chidambaram.
Day 05 : Chidambaram - Thanjavur
On day five of our Tamilnadu Pilgrimage Tour, we will reach our next destination which is Tanjore. It is only 140 km away from Chidambaram and within four hours we can reach there. This city is also known as “Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu”. First of all we will visit the world famous and a must visit Brihadeshwara temple. Apart from this we are also going to pay a visit to Thingaloor Chandran Temple, Aalangudi Guru Temple, Kanjanoor Sukkiran Temple and Suryanar Sooriyan Temple as well. Stay and dinner will be at hotel in Tanjore.
Day 06 : Thanjavur - Pillayarpatti - Rameshwaram
Our next halt after Tanjore will be Pillayarpatti, and there we will pay a visit to Pillayarpatti Vinayagar temple and then we will start for Rameshwaram. Rameshwaram is 270 Km from Tanjore and it takes six hours to reach there by road. Rameshwaram is one of the 12 Jyothiralinga temple in India. No South India Pilgrimage tour is complete without a visit to this place.
Day 07 : Rameshwaram - Madurai
On the seventh day we will start for Madurai after having our early breakfast at hotel in Rameshwaram. Madurai is located at around 170 km from Rameshwaram and we can reach there by road within four hours. Meenakshi Amman Temple of Madurai is the most important place to visit. Apart from this we are going to visit some more temples on day seven of our South India Pilgrimage Tour like Azhagar Kovil, Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam and Thiruparamkuntram. Dinner and overnight stay will be at hotel in Madurai.
Day 08 : Madurai - Palani - Tiruchirapalli
About 122 km away is Palani, which is our next destination. By road it takes less than three hours to reach there. Palani is popular for its Murugan Temple. This temple is one among the six abodes of Lord Murugan. After that we will head towards Tiruchirapalli (Trichy). Dinner and overnight stay will be at Trichy.
Day 09 : Departure from Tiruchirapalli
You can do a bit more sightseeing in Tiruchirapalli till you have got time. Our staff will help you in checking out formalities and escort you to the airport from where you will board flight to your home town.
